Bridgewater-Raritan High School played its first-ever Unified Flag Football game on Thursday, April 9, falling to West Morris Central High School, 34-18, in Chester. Bridgewater-Raritan received touchdowns from Giovanni Fuentes, Sofia Green, and Brady Baxter.

The refurbished baseball complex at Basilone Memorial Field in Bridgewater was the host for its first game when Bridgewater-Raritan High School opened the 2026 season on Wednesday, April 1. Among the featured additions were the bleachers and netting behind home plate, as well as the dugouts on both the first- and third-base sides. The facelift was part of the Referendum 2023 in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District. Barry Walker, a member of the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Board of Education, threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Bridgewater-Raritan, the 2024 Group 4 state champion, started the season on its renovated field with a 9-4 victory over Rancocas Valley High School.









This first session on the Bridgewater-Raritan High School campus followed the team’s visit to the New York Jets Training Facility on Wednesday, March 18, in Florham Park. The New York Jets Launch Event Clinic on that day attracted the 18 high schools, including Bridgewater-Raritan, that play Unified Flag Football in New Jersey.
Bridgewater-Raritan’s Unified Flag Football Team will practice again on Monday, April 6, on campus after school, when the squad will prepare for the season–and first-ever— opener on Thursday, April 9, at West Morris Central High School in Chester. Bridgewater-Raritan’s home opener will be played on Monday, April 27, against Voorhees High School.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium was the venue for the basketball fundraiser that was sponsored by the Bridgewater-Raritan High School PTO.
The Bridgewater-Raritan Community Team, consisting of players from Bridgewater Recreation, the Raritan Fire Department, and students from Van Holten and Hillside Intermediate Schools, played the NFL Pros.
According to Christine Radimer, Co-President of the high school’s PTO with Paula Wein, the night started off with a VIP session featuring autographs! Bridgewater Recreation Coaches and the Raritan Fire Department started us off. The student teams were on fire and put up a good fight against the NFL Pros.
“We had a halftime show from the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Dance Team,” Ms. Radimer said.
She added.
“It was a great night for the Bridgewater-Raritan High School PTO, and we would like to thank everyone who assisted in putting on this event!”
