Adamsville Primary School signaled the start of the 2026 Field Day program in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District for this spring.

Adamsville held its fun day outside on Friday, May 8. Eight more schools in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District will hold a Field Day this spring

Dave Guglietti, the Supervisor of Health and Physical Education in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District, explained the value of the Field Day program.

“An important school tradition in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District provides students with opportunities to engage in physical activity, build relationships with peers, and celebrate the school community in a positive and meaningful way,” he said.

Mr. Guglietti continued to share the importance of this activity.

“While academics are the primary focus throughout the year, Field Day allows students to learn and grow through teamwork, sportsmanship, and social interaction outside of the traditional classroom setting and to just let loose and have fun!”

He continued.

“Through a variety of activities and games, students are encouraged to stay active while having fun in an inclusive environment where all students can participate and experience success. In addition, team-based activities help students develop important social and emotional skills such as cooperation, communication, leadership, perseverance, and problem-solving.”

Mr. Guglietti concluded.

“Field day is a great event that students look forward to every year! Our Physical Education teachers do a great job coordinating and overseeing the activities. It is a fun day for both students and staff!”
