District goals and evaluation process of staff discussed at board of ed meeting on Sept. 12

A welcome back to the school year presentation during the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Board of Education meeting featured the discussions of district goals and the evaluation of staff on Tuesday, September 12.

During the regular public meeting that was held at the Wade Administration Building, Superintendent Bob Beers was joined by Karen Jones, the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, and Dr. Dan Fonder, the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel, to share on what the District Goals and Actions Plans and the Evaluation Process for Teachers and Administrators are for the school district.

Superintendent Beers reviewed during his report on the positive start to the 2023-2024 school year.

"The Full-Day Kindergarten fliers for the November 7 Referendum have begun to be distributed throughout the schools and the community," Superintendent Beers said. "There have been changes for this year in the Code of Conduct (approved later that evening  at the meeting by the Board of Education)  and we are looking for consistency throughout the district."

And he also added:

"We are invested in student wellness for K through 12 and we have now promoted non-cell phone learning environments, where students place their cell phones in a cubby in the classroom. We also added five additional security personnel and our security will continue to coordinate with the police departments in both communities.''
