Staff members who have served and achieved milestones in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District were honored on Tuesday evening, November 14.
These staff members were recognized during the regular meeting of the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional Board of Education that was held at the Wade Administration Building.
The staff members were recognized in the following three categories:
Worked in the school district for 25 years
Received advanced educational degrees
Earned staff tenure
Those present at the meeting received recognition and a certificate from Superintendent Bob Beers and Dr. Dan Fonder, the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel. All honorees not in attendance at the meeting will receive a certificate.
“We honor you and our school district is a far better place due to your efforts,’’ Superintendent Beers said.
Also during his report, Superintendent Beers discussed the approval of Referendum 2023 when the communities voted on November 7 to support the All-Day Kindergarten Program.
“As of today (November 14) there were 7,294 yes votes and 6,313 no votes,’’ Superintendent Beers said. “More people came out to vote solely on Referendum. Thank you to the organizations, staff and teachers. We all should be proud.’’
He added:
“Now the challenge begins. We will continue to build a new Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District and continue the promise to the people who voted for this reality.’’
In other business, Dan Hemberger, the Principal at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, and Dr. Dan Silvia, the Assistant Superintendent for Special Services, teamed up to present the Intervention and B.R.I.T.E programs that are occurring in the high school.
‘’It was a pleasure to showcase a few of the many new programs that Bridgewater-Raritan High School has developed to challenge and support our students,’’ Principal Hemberger said. ‘’We have an excellent staff and have spent time uniting our efforts into programs that best serve our community.
